PGO PMX NAKED 50cc Scooter  SOLD

This bike is six years old, but the engine was completely rebuilt in 2013 by Josh Ilott, the most respected scooter tech on Vancouver Island and subsequently completely re-broken in personally and correctly by me.  Top quality internal parts were hand selected for performance and safety and this bike is totally ready to ride!  This bike also got new high quality tires at the time of the rebuild in mid 2013 because at the time I had it rebuilt I had ZERO intention of selling it.  You do NOT need any sort of special motorcycle license to ride this scooter.

You can get an underpowered electric scooter for a price like that, or some off brand, but when it comes to rugged reliability, the PGO is what people in the know choose.  Don't take my word for it, ask around at scooter repair shops and see for yourself!  Those guys know.  I have put well over $4000 into this bike, but I'm not trying to recoop my costs or whatever.  I hate when people do that!  It's a 2008 and it's been upgraded quite a bit and that's a fact.

I did not ride this bike into the ground, despite it's scuffs & scratches.  This bike has a LOT of miles left on it that I fully intended to get my money's worth out of, but due to selling it years ahead of schedule, it's a deal for you now.  If you don't agree, you'd be better off looking elsewhere.  You've got to feel confident in your choice of ride!

There is storage under the seat, in the lockable trunk (key included) and you can bungee a grocery box onto the passenger part of the seat for an amazing amount of storage.  I've also sometimes put another paper bag of groceries between my feet.  You can easily lock your helmet in the trunk as well.

As you can see it has a handy gas gage so you know when to fill it up.  This is something your motorcycle riding friends will be jealous about.  My last fill up was about $7.50 and lasted for a number of weeks.  This is something your car driving friends will be jealous about!

This bike is tuned and fitted with a big bore kit and a Prima performance pipe so you don't get too bogged down on a big hill or can get out of harms way, that's what it's all about really.  Safety first!

All the blinkers are in working order, and they make a nice loud clicking noise so you don't have to worry about forgetting to turn them off, which is a huge safety feature in my opinion.  The little windshield in front of the electronics protects your electronics from driving rain.  Most people do not bother with it, so you can just remove that if you don't care for the look of it.

Also the included lockable trunk with key is wired up to show nice bright brake lights... another proven safety feature!

This bike is a little beat up, I don't deny it!  But it's very rugged and reliable and even if you ever did drop it and re-break (these blinkers for instance) you can probably pick up replacements for $15-$20.  But I would just glue them back together as they still work fine!

Please enlarge all pics to see glue lines, scuff marks and scratches in the interests of full disclosure!

It's not "pretty" but I think it's a great looking scooter overall and I love how rugged and dependable it is.  This bike is designed to be tough and stand up to whatever you throw at it and I can attest that it does.  If I didn't need to ride on the highway I would NOT be parting with it.  Best to park this in a garage out of the elements due to the locking gas cap key hole being exposed (or just keep it lubricated.)  The pic on the right shows a USB charger port built into the trunk, for your phone charging needs while out and about... something else I considered a safety feature actually.

The top switch near the keys turns on the USB charger that's in the trunk.  The bottom one turns on some "ground effects" lighting underneath the scooter for higher visibility at night.  Changing as many things to LED lighting as possible provided more than enough power for these extra goodies, but be sure to turn them off when you're done riding!  They have little green indicator lights to remind you.

The middle pic shows the wired up trunk brake lights.  The 3rd pic shows the wiring in the trunk to the USB charger.

Three year old video, so not the exact same configuration of lights/pipe sounds, but obviously similar,
as that's me on this scooter.  Please read video description on YouTube for more details.
